About Us

Welcome to The Maharashtra State Co-operative Housing Federation Ltd., the apex body of district housing cooperative federations of the Maharashtra. In the state there is network of over 1,25,000 housing societies and more than 30 million their members, our mission is not only to promote co-operative principles but also to educate and empower housing society members and office bearers about the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960, Rules, Bye-laws, GR and circulars of the department.

We firmly believe that knowledge is the key to harmonious living in co-operative societies. To achieve this, we conduct regular seminars and training sessions, including specialized programs for Returning Officers appointed for cooperative elections. Additionally, we proudly offer a comprehensive diploma course for housing society managers, equipping them with essential skills for efficient management.

At The Maharashtra State Co-operative Housing Federation Ltd., we also take pride in our role as mediators. We understand that disputes between society members and office bearers, particularly the Managing Committee, can disrupt the peaceful coexistence within a housing society. Hence, we strive to resolve such conflicts

amicably and efficiently, promoting a cooperative and cohesive environment within the society.

Our vision extends beyond just dispute resolution; we actively encourage a sense of togetherness among our members. By fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication, we aim to create an environment where members can work together for the betterment of their society.

Through our collaborative online portal, "Sahakar Samvad," developed in partnership with the Department of Cooperation, Government of Maharashtra, we facilitate seamless grievance redressal. Members can seek solutions to their issues, while our team diligently works to address and resolve their concerns.

Transparency, education, dispute resolution, and promoting a better living environment are at the core of our endeavors. Within the preview of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960, and in collaboration with the Department of Cooperation, Marketing &Textile Government of Maharashtra, we are committed to empowering members of the housing cooperative societies and fostering a strong co-operative community for a better tomorrow.

Furthermore, we are dedicated to providing legal guidance to our members and assisting them in obtaining deemed conveyance of their housing society land. Our relentless efforts in this area have helped numerous societies secure rightful ownership of their land, fostering security and stability for the residents.
